The 2020 Elite is the perfect set of wheels for the inner Punjabi in you

Indian Motorcycle, the iconic cruiser manufacturer from er, the US of A, has unveiled the 2020 Roadmaster Elite, and it’s more expensive than before at £35,499 (around Rs 32.61 lakh). But we think you already knew that. What you don’t know is that it now comes with a special paint that takes around 30 man-hours to finish as well as a banging music system!

That’s right, the 2020 Roadmaster Elite gets a new 600-watt 'PowerBand Audio Plus' music system that the company claims is 50 per cent louder than before. Because who wants to ride in complete silence, right?  Apart from this, new Roadmaster Elite gets a fresh colour scheme - glossy black and grey divided by splashes of red. Meanwhile, the 19-inch wheels are now covered in chrome and black paint.

Apart from these changes, the rest of the motorcycle remains the same as the older model. So it’s still powered by the earth-shattering 1890cc Thunder Stroke 116 V-twin motor that makes 168Nm of torque at 2800rpm. It also features three rider modes while the rear cylinder can be shut off at a standstill to improve efficiency and reduce heat.

The Ride Command infotainment system packs a 7-inch glove-friendly touchscreen and offers navigation and Bluetooth connectivity. Other highlights that have been carried over from the previous version include LED lighting, ABS, keyless ignition, heated grips, electronically-adjustable screen, and more than 140 litres of luggage space.

Like before, the Roadmaster Elite will be a limited production cruiser and Indian Motorcycles is yet to reveal if it’ll offer it in India. However, according to our dealer sources, there are chances that a few units could arrive on our shores by September.
