Along with announcing the calendar for 2012, FIA also declared that the Turkish Grand Prix in Istanbul has been removed from the list. Turkey became part of the F1 calendar in 2005, but the venue has been not been attracting many spectators mainly due to overpriced tickets.
The Bahrain Grand Prix was cancelled this year due to political unrest but the race has found its way back in the 2012 calendar. Meanwhile, the sport will also find its way back to the United States of America, on an all new circuit in Austin, Texas on November 18, before wrapping up the season in Brazil on November 25.
The overall schedule for 2012 season remains the same except for the exclusion of Istanbul and a new venue at Texas.
