EXCLUSIVE: Here’s How Much The Indian Challenger Will Cost In India

This story is specifically aimed at people who always insist on flying first class. Or, on the rare instances they’re on the road, never go anywhere without a chauffeur in full uniform, gloves and all. Indian Motorcycle has started accepting orders for its new cruiser, the Challenger, which retails for a tidy Rs 39.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Should you have that sort of money lying around, you can spare Rs 1 lakh to book yourself one.

An all-new motorcycle, the Challenger was launched internationally last year. Indian has equipped the bagger with every feature and electronic equipment it could lay hands on. Apart from the usual stuff like LED lights and cruise control, it gets keyless ignition, adjustable windscreen and saddlebags (with a total capacity of 68 litres!). It also gets a full colour 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Bluetooth and USB pairing for your smartphone so that you can listen to your favourite tunes on the go. There’s a built-in navigation system as well, if you are planning to go on a long road trip. 

Powering this beast of a machine is an all-new 1769cc PowerPlus V-twin motor which pumps out 124PS and 173.5Nm, making the Challenger the most powerful Indian bagger out there. Suspension setup includes a 43mm USD fork and a monoshock. Anchorage is provided by 320mm discs clamped with Brembo 4-piston radial calipers and a 298mm disc with a 2-piston caliper.
