Indian Motorcycles is likely to launch the all-new Challenger at the upcoming EICMA motor show. The American bike maker has already revealed juicy details about its new PowerPlus motor - the brand’s most powerful engine yet! Now though, according to some documents published by the California Air Resources Board (CARB), the Challenger will be available in three variants: standard, Dark Horse and Limited.

We have already seen Indian Motorcycles offering the current Chieftain in these three variants, so it is highly likely that the upcoming Challenger will follow the same route as the current Chieftain. The standard model will be a blend of blacked-out parts and chrome, whereas the Dark Horse will be completely draped in black. The Limited edition, however, will be the top-of-the-line variant and will come equipped with truckloads of chrome. Being the top-end variant, the Limited edition could also get some extra goodies such as premium leather seat and a premium audio system.
Indian’s Challenger has been spotted testing several times and you can read our detailed report about the upcoming motorcycle here.
Apart from these cosmetic changes, the three variants will be similar to each other in terms of mechanicals. With the Challenger, Indian Motorcycles is planning to err… challenge the Harley-Davidson Road Glide Special.
