The Vision 110 is to Honda worldwide what the Activa is to Honda in India. A cash cow, one of its bestsellers. And in the same way that the Activa 6G only featured mild updates over its predecessor, the 2021 Vision 110 also gets incremental changes as part of its Euro 5 update. At least on the surface. The basic design and slender form factor have remained pretty much the same with a minor refresh, but underneath, quite a lot has changed.
There’s an all-new frame housing an all-new engine, as a result of which kerb weight has fallen by 2kg, now sitting at the century mark. The 2-valve motor has grown from 108cc to 109.5cc, and now produces 8.7PS and 9.5Nm, which is roughly the same as before, but while meeting stricter Euro 5 emission norms. But one of the biggest updates is on the features front, with the 2021 Vision 110 getting Honda’s Smart Key system, meaning keyless operation for the engine and underseat storage compartment.
It rolls on a 16-inch/14-inch alloy wheel combo, is suspended on a telescopic fork and monoshock, and gets a front disc brake. The outgoing model carried a sticker price of €2300 or Rs 2.06 lakh and the updated model is expected to be marginally more expensive, which answers the question as to why the Vision 110 isn’t headed to India anytime soon.
