Honda H'Ness CB350 Launched Today; Royal Enfield Better Watch Out

Honda India is all set to launch its biggest made-in-India motorcycle till date. While the name of the bike remains a mystery (it could be called the CB350 EX, the Highness or something else altogether (check the UPDATE to know the name of the bike)), we know for sure that it will be a single-cylinder thumper. And that should perk up your ears as Honda is finally throwing the gauntlet down to challenge Royal Enfield.

A teaser clip of the exhaust note was released a while ago as Honda gave us a very distinct clue regarding what the motorcycle was going to be. You can hear the clip in the video above and can totally deduce that it is going to be a long-stroke thumper engine, just like the ones we have seen on Royal Enfield singles. The exact specifications remain a mystery but we guess it will displace anything between 350cc and 400cc. In a few hours, we will know all the details about its engine displacement, cooling system, valvetrain and obviously, the performance figures.

Honda has already let a little info on the bike slip as its design will be based on the legendary CB1100 EX roadster that the Japanese bikemaker used to make a long time ago. Hence, expect it to look like a proper retro roadster, something along the lines of the Benelli Imperiale 400 or the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650. A more modest suspension setup would be in place with spoke rims being the obvious choice to go for this sort of a motorcycle. It just might end up looking like the bike in the opening image of this story but not with a multi-cylinder setup.

We cannot contain our excitement though as Honda will kickstart launch proceedings from 11am onwards.
