TVS has launched the Ronin Drift R School providing an opportunity to riders who want to learn off-road riding and flat-tracking techniques. The Drift R school offers riders the opportunity to try out these techniques on a modified TVS Ronin, built specifically for flat-track riding.
The school features experienced instructors who will guide the riders throughout the course, giving feedback and helping in improving technique.

The course is held at ProDirt, Pune and is conducted on a 250 meter flat track. It covers everything from technique and body positioning to practical sessions where the riders can try out what they’ve learnt.
The riders will get to experience the flat track, on a modified TVS Ronin. The bike features design changes such as the headlight and instrument console being removed, a redesigned seat and tail section.

To make it a capable flat-tracker, TVS had added a new handlebar and repositioned footpegs, front fork with travel extended by 40mm and a modified exhaust setup. The bike’s front brake has also been removed, so the riders will have to handle the bike only using the rear brake and throttle inputs.
Overall, this is a really good initiative by the brand which will help popularise flat-tracking to a larger section of riders. The lessons that one learns on the flat track, an environment where there is lesser traction and control over the bike than the road, will help riders improve their riding on road as well.

We at ZigWheels had a chance to take part in the TVS Ronin Drift R school. It was a really good experience and we got to learn a lot about riding off-road. We will be going over our experience in detail and giving you a breakdown of our experience soon, so stay tuned to ZigWheels!
