Bajaj Pulsar 220F: Top 5 Things You Need To Know About The Updated Bike

The Bajaj Pulsar 220F is one of those motorcycles that needs no introduction. A performance icon for an entire generation of Indian bikers, the semi-faired Pulsar continues to soldier on even today. Bajaj has now given it a small update with a new LED headlight and fresh colour options. Here are the top five things you should know about the motorcycle:

1. Updated Looks, Same Iconic Design

The Pulsar 220F's silhouette has remained largely unchanged over the years, and that's not necessarily a bad thing. The half-fairing, projector headlight setup, tall visor and muscular fuel tank still give it a sporty presence. The latest update brings new colour options including Black Cherry Red, Black Ink Blue, Black Copper Beige and Black Gold, along with refreshed graphics that add a bit more visual appeal.

2. Finally Gets Full-LED Lighting

One of the biggest changes on the updated bike is the addition of an all-LED lighting package. It now gets an LED projector headlight, LED taillight and LED indicators. The digital instrument console also supports Bluetooth connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation, making it more relevant in today's market.

3. A Proven 220cc Engine

Powering the motorcycle is the same 220cc oil-cooled, single-cylinder engine producing 20.8PS and 19.12Nm. Paired with a 5-speed gearbox, the motor is known for its strong mid-range performance and effortless highway cruising ability. It remains one of the strongest performers in its price bracket despite its age.

4. Highway-Friendly Yet Comfortable

The Pulsar 220F strikes a nice balance between sportiness and comfort. The clip-on handlebars and slightly rear-set footpegs offer a sporty riding posture without putting too much strain on the rider. Combined with a well-padded seat and soft suspension setup, the bike remains comfortable for both city commutes and weekend highway runs.

5. Great Value For Money

Priced at Rs 1,35,582 (ex-showroom Delhi), the Pulsar 220F remains one of the most affordable faired motorcycles in India. While it misses out on features like dual-channel ABS, ride modes and traction control, its proven reliability, strong performance and everyday practicality continue to make it a compelling option for buyers looking for an affordable sports tourer.
