Now that Tata Motors has launched the new Punch at Rs 5.59 lakh (ex-showroom), the SUV is sure to make huge waves in the market with its tough look, a more powerful engine option, new features and most importantly, a revised interior design! If you were wondering how it looks inside, here is the interior explained in 10 real-life images:
Inside, the biggest change in the Punch facelift comes in the form of a new dashboard, along with a new two-spoke steering wheel with a backlit logo from its electrified sibling, the Punch EV.

What you also get to see is a touch-based climate control panel and a centre console which looks a lot more premium compared to the outgoing car.

All of these elements come together to make the Punch feel more upmarket compared to the pre-facelift version.
Unlike a lot of other facelifts, this one goes beyond just cosmetic changes too, with some useful additions like extendable thigh support for the front seats, along with centre armrests for both the front and rear occupants.

These make the Punch’s cabin, which was always known for its comfort, feel even better. You also get the new dual-tone upholstery and a white insert on the dashboard and door panels, which play a major role in making the interior feel more airy.

As it is, the pre-facelift Punch was always one of the best-equipped cars in its segment, and Tata Motors is in no mood to let that crown go.

In keeping with this, it now gets a bunch of features such as a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, ambient lighting, wireless Android Auto/Apple CarPlay, 8-speaker sound system, a voice-assisted electric sunroof, wireless charger and an auto-dimming IRVM.

Not that it really needed it, but Tata Motors has now gone ahead and given the facelifted Punch an even longer list of safety features, such as 6 airbags, electronic stability control, hill descent control, 360 degree camera, blind view monitor and three-point seatbelts with reminders for all occupants.

Also noteworthy is the fact that the Punch facelift has scored a 5-star Bharat NCAP rating in both the Adult Occupant Protection and Child Occupant Protection categories, which further solidifies Tata’s intent to be one of the safest carmakers out there.
Despite the compact proportions of the Punch, Tata has still managed to carve out 366 litres of boot space, which makes it a properly practical car for those airport runs and long trips alike.

In fact, even with the i-CNG variant, Tata has cleverly used dual-cylinder technology and placed them under the floor to provide 210-litres of luggage space which is more than usually possible with a conventional setup.

With these comprehensive updates, the Punch facelift does indeed feel much better inside. And pair that to the impressive safety and equipment levels, you can rest assured that its interior continues to be a comfortable and pleasant place to be in, even on those arduously long road trips.
