Suzuki has showcased its latest EV, the Vision e-Sky concept, ahead of the Japan Mobility Show 2025. The Vision e-Sky is a born-EV concept that adapts Suzuki’s new “Unique, Smart, Positive” design philosophy and is positioned as a future-ready compact electric vehicle for urban environments. More importantly, there could be a possibility of Maruti bringing the concept to India as an affordable electric hatchback, maybe the Alto EV?
The Suzuki Vision e-Sky adopts an upright, boxy stance with clean surfaces and well-defined proportions. The front is dominated by a sleek LED light bar with multi-array lighting elements positioned at the centre, flanked by the headlamps and C-shaped DRLs.
The floating C-pillar, flush door handles, aerodynamically shaped ORVMs, and mildly flared wheel arches look modern. A contrasting white roof paired with blacked-out door pillars helps with the floating roof effect. It’s 3,395 mm long, 1,475 mm wide, and 1,625 mm tall. This makes the Vision e-Sky shorter and narrower than the Maruti Suzuki S-Presso but notably taller.

The minimalist approach for the cabin looks sophisticated, as the steering wheel integrates multi-function controls. The dual digital display manages driver information and infotainment operation.
The floating dashboard is clean and uncluttered, while the ambient LED strips wrapped around the cabin enhance the cabin's airiness. The drive selector is positioned below the dashboard. The seats use a split-top design and combine beige with shades of blue and purple to elevate the cabin’s perceived quality. Some elements, such as the awkward placement of the ORVM control switches, are likely to be refined for the production model.

Suzuki has not released powertrain specifications yet, but the brand has confirmed that the Vision e-Sky will offer a range of more than 270 km on a full charge. This clearly positions the vehicle as an urban-focused EV designed to prioritise efficiency and practicality over outright performance. The production version of the Vision e-Sky is expected to make its global debut by FY2026.

Although it’s too early to make this statement but if Suzuki does decide to bring the production version of the car to India, it will directly take on the likes of the Tata Tiago EV and the MG Comet EV.
Suzuki has confirmed that the production version of the Vision e-Sky will debut globally by FY2026. An India launch could be expected between FY26 and FY27.

The Suzuki Vision e-Sky concept is a clear signal of intent. It cleverly packages futuristic styling, and its compact footprint aligns perfectly with the needs of urban commuters in India and other Asian markets. If Maruti Suzuki localises it effectively, this model could become a mass-market EV disruptor in India, reshaping the entry-level EV space and challenging the current market leaders.
