  • Maruti Alto 800 is one of the India's largest selling cars. After the Maruti discontinued iconic 800, it brought Alto 800 into the market. Alto 800 comes with improved design and robust engineering and thanks to the high mileage (24.7 kmpl); the Alto 800 continues to remain the preferred choice for first-time car buyers. On the design front, the Alto 800 feels dated, but its strength lies in its reliable mechanicals, extensive sales and service network, low running costs and strong resale value. On the other hand, Alto K10 is the more powerful version of Maruti 800. It is a good city car, offering a peppy-but-efficient engine, good drive dynamics and, most importantly, an automated-manual transmission. Q. Hi which is best automatic transmission car under 6 lac?
  • There are ample of cars available with AMT under this budget such as - Renault Kwid, Maruti Alto K10, Maruti Celerio, Maruti Ignis, etc. As new car purchase would depend on a lot of factors like budget, segment or brand preference, transmission, fuel type, specific feature requirement etc. Hence, we request you to share your inputs so that we can assist you in right direction. If you are travelling less than 50-60km a day, opt for a petrol car instead of a diesel. With the extra Rs 1-1.50 lakh spent on a diesel purchase, you can actually drive a similar petrol car for as many as two years! So, do your math carefully. A diesel usually makes sense if you are driving above 60/70km a day. Click on the following link to search out these cars: https://bit.ly/2uocNCo
  • There are following options ..Celerio, Tiago, Kwid and Grand I10 (slightly more budget). My first choice will be Grand I 10 Rather than celerio or Tiago. I would prefer Kwid. Which I heard is having better Automatic Gear Mechanism.
  • Automatic transmission is only successful in MUVs and SUVs, else it's only formality which lower your vehicles mileage. If you buy a car below 6 lac please go with manual transmission.

  • Vxi(o) is priced 19,000 Higher than Vxi. The main difference is Vxi(o) has got a driver side airbag, other important equipment that vxi(o) has extra is Center locking key, body coloured ORVM's and door handles, Fog lamps, side impact beams. For 19k vxi(o) is better of the two and worth the extra bucks.
  • In BS 4 there was difference, of driver side airbag...But in BS6 norms both are same as ABS EBD and driver side airbags are mandatory
