Quick Highlights:
2025 Yamaha FZ-S Fi launched in India
Gets new colour schemes and revised front indicators
Remains mechanically unchanged but is now more expensive than ever
Yamaha has silently launched the 2025 FZ-S Fi in India. It is priced at Rs 1,34,800 (ex-showroom, Delhi), is now OBD-2B emission norms compliant, and now comes in four new colour schemes: Metallic Grey, Matte Black, Ice-Fluo Vermellion and Cyber Green. The bike remains mechanically unchanged and makes the same power and torque as before.
The 2025 Yamaha FZ-S Fi shares the same design, engine, underpinnings and features as its previous version, the FZ-S Fi Version 4 DLX, which was launched back in 2023. The 2025 FZ-S Fi gets four new paint schemes with colour-coded tank extensions and front indicators relocated to the tank extensions. It commands a premium of Rs 3,600 over the FZ-S Fi V4 DLX, which is still on sale in India. A big chunk of the price increase comes from making the engine OBD-2B compliant. This makes the launch of the new 2025 FZ-S Fi redundant, as you can get the same motorcycle for a lesser price tag and not miss out on anything major except a few colour schemes. That said, the new colour schemes in the 2025 FZ-S Fi look more elegant in our opinion as they are minimalistic.
The 2025 Yamaha FZ-S Fi sits just below the FZ-S Fi Hybrid in Yamaha’s lineup as it misses out on a silent motor generator, which gives the bike an additional torque boost and improves fuel efficiency with the mild-hybrid system. The other FZ-S models sit below the 2025 version.

The launch of the non-hybrid FZ-S Fi was inevitable as Yamaha started off with the hybrid variant. That said, the company still sells the older versions at different price points, making the whole lineup pretty confusing. The new colour schemes and the front indicator relocation does not warrant the bike to be treated as a separate model in itself. Yamaha should’ve just updated the V4 DLX and called it a day. If you’re not too keen on the nitty-gritties, you may simply buy the V4 DLX and save up some cash. Who knows, Yamaha might just discontinue the older versions in the coming months and just keep the FZ-S Hybrid, non-Hybrid, and the FZ Fi models to avoid confusion.
