The V-Strom range has always been one of those bikes that are not super hyped-up but are pretty capable in their own right. In India, the flagship motorcycle in the range is the V-Strom 800DE, and now, the bikemaker has launched the 2025 iteration. Before you get excited, we must say this is more of a regular fire drill from the brand to keep the bike on its toes, so to speak.

The 2025 Suzuki V-Strom 800DE comes with one crucial change, and one added bonus. The former being the compliance to the latest OBD-2B emission norms, whereas the latter being the introduction of a new colour scheme. The best bit is that the price is still unchanged, at Rs 10,30,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The new ‘Pearl Tech White’ looks quite elegant, while not being as in-you-face as the Champion Yellow No. 2 (read yellow) scheme. Both the yellow and Glass Sparkle Black (AKA black) have received tweaks to the colour scheme for a fresher appeal.

While the updates are appreciated, we can’t help but feel Suzuki has done just about enough to keep the bike alive. Afterall, as per the sales data from SIAM (Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers), the brand sold just 3 units of the V-Strom 800DE in the last three months. That said, last year (April 2024 to March 2025), 66 bikes found a home in India. This proves that the V-Strom’s flame hasn’t flickered yet, and now with the update, we reckon an upward tick in terms of sales in the coming months.
