It could come at a price that is around the Rs 85,000 mark ex-showroom.
It will go up against scooters like the TVS Jupiter 125 and Suzuki Access 125
We have come to know that the new Hero Destini 125 will be launched sometime in December 2024, likely next week, according to our sources. The 2024 Hero Destini 125 is a family-oriented scooter from Hero MotoCorp. It was unveiled officially back in September 2024 and packs a brand new design and a host of crucial updates beneath the skin as well.

The new design gives the scooter a retro-looking LED headlight and DRL setup, along with a few copper highlights. The scooter manages to stand out quite a bit with the boxier styling and overall design, when compared to the previous Destini 125, which looked a bit bulky.

The scooter is still powered by the same 124.6cc air-cooled, single-cylinder motor which outputs 9PS and 10.4Nm. For the 2024 update, Hero has given the scooter a new CVT (Continuous variable transmission) gearbox. According to Hero, the new scooter will offer a claimed mileage of 59kmpl. Also, another crucial update in the hardware front is the availability of front disc brakes in the higher-end variants.
Speaking of which, the new Hero Destini 125 will come in three variants: VX, ZX and ZX+. In terms of features, the higher-end ZX and ZX+ variants of the Destini 125 will offer smartphone connectivity and related features. It will include turn-by-turn navigation, call and SMS alerts. Along with this, the scooter will also get auto-cancelling indicators whose functionality is similar to how indicators on a car work. You also get an illuminated starter switch.

We expect the scooter to be launched by next week as stated above. It will likely be sold at a price that is around the Rs 85,000 to Rs 90,000 mark (ex-showroom). It will go up against other family-oriented scooters in the market like the TVS Jupiter 125, Suzuki Access 125 and the Honda Activa 125.
We recently had a chance to ride the upcoming Hero Destini 125 and here’s what we think about its real world performance.
