The Hero Destini 125 has been unveiled and it gets a lot of changes. Also, the features list is quite extensive this time around. Let’s take an in-depth look at the features it gets:
The VX variant gets a semi-digital instrument console, while the ZX and the ZX+ variants get an LCD instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation. The console shows readouts such as speedometer, odometer, trip meter, fuel gauge, clock and other regular readouts. The 125cc scooter gets an LED projector headlight, LED taillight and auto-cancelling turn indicators that switch off automatically after a certain duration of time. The VX variant gets regular cast alloy wheels, while the ZX and ZX+ variants get diamond-cut alloy wheels.
The 2024 Hero Destini 125 gets convenience features such as a USB charging port in the front glove box, luggage hooks in the front apron, boot lamp in the underseat storage space, pillion backrest in the ZX and ZX+ variants and an external fuel filler cap. The updated scooter also gets Hero MotoCorp’s i3s technology, which is basically an engine start-stop feature. This feature shuts off the engine after it idles for more than a set duration of time. It is helpful in increasing the scooter’s mileage, especially at traffic signals. The scooter also gets an illuminated engine start switch, which adds a premium touch to the vehicle.
The new generation Destini 125 is powered by a 124.6cc, single-cylinder engine producing 9PS at 7000rpm and 10.4Nm at 5500rpm. The suspension setup consists of a telescopic fork and a monoshock. The VX variant gets drum brakes at both ends while the ZX and ZX+ variants get a 190mm front disc brake. It now gets larger 12-inch wheels at both ends with a 90-section front and 100-section rear tyre. The scooter is available in five colour options: Eternal White, Regal Black, Mystique Magenta, Cosmic Blue and Groovy Red. It rivals the likes of the Honda Activa 125, Yamaha Fascino 125 Fi Hybrid, Suzuki Access 125 and TVS Jupiter 125.
