2024 Hero Destini 125: Top 5 Highlights

The Hero Destini 125 was recently updated with a reworked design, new features and other upgrades. Here are the top 5 highlights of the scooter:

Reworked Design 

The 2024 model of the Hero Destini 125 gets a boxier design language with sharper lines compared to the previous model The entire front-end looks completely different and the triangular turn indicators on the front apron have been replaced by sleeker look units. A distinct H-shaped design pattern surrounds the indicators. The exhaust is shorter in length and looks stubbier and the reworked styling has upped the appeal of the scooter for prospective buyers. 

Variants and Colour Options

The 2024 Hero Destini 125 is available in three variants: VX, ZX and ZX+. The VX variant gets three colour options: Eternal White, Groovy Red and Regal Black. The ZX variant gets two colour options: Mystique Magenta and Cosmic Blue while the ZX+ variant gets Ebony White and Regal Black colour schemes. The VX and ZX variants get silver chrome accents while the ZX+ variant gets copper chrome accents on the rear view mirrors, front apron, side panel and the tail section. 

New Features

The VX variant gets a semi-digital instrument console. The ZX and ZX+ variants get an LCD instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation and shows speedometer, odometer, trip meter, fuel gauge, clock and other regular readouts. Regular cast alloy wheels are present on the VX variant while the ZX and ZX+ variant get more premium diamond-cut alloy wheels. Other features exclusive to the ZX and ZX+ variants include a pillion backrest, illuminated engine start switch and the auto-cancelling turn indicators, which make the scooter feel quite premium. Across all variants, the Destini 125 gets an LED headlight, LED taillight, a USB charging port, luggage hooks in the front apron, boot lamp in the underseat storage space and an external fuel filler cap. 

Hardware Updates

The Destini 125 gets a front disc brake for the first time, present on the ZX and ZX+ variant. The VX variant gets drum brakes at both ends. The suspension setup consists of a telescopic fork and a monoshock. The scooter also gets 12-inch wheels at both ends for the first time, which should improve its stability at straight line speeds and riding comfort over bad road surfaces. The scooter has a wheelbase of 1302mm, seat height of 770mm and a ground clearance of 162mm. 

Same Engine As Before

The 2024 Destini 125 is powered by the same 124.6cc, single-cylinder engine found in the earlier model. It produces 9PS at 7000rpm and 10.4Nm at 5500rpm. Its rivals are the Honda Activa 125, Yamaha Fascino 125 Fi Hybrid, Suzuki Access 125 and TVS Jupiter 125.
