Gujarat-based Matter has finally launched the Aera electric bike that comes packed with a bunch of segment firsts including premium hardware. But how does it fare against its primary rival, Tork Kratos, on paper? Read on to find out.

When it comes to the motor and battery, the Matter Aera clearly takes the win with its liquid-cooling technology, which is a first for an Indian electric bike. Even the power output and claimed range on the Aera is more than the Kratos.
Also a first for an electric motorcycle sold in India, is the four-speed gearbox on the Aera, which should make it a more fun bike to ride. The Kratos comes with a CVT.

While both electric motorcycles have similar underpinnings except for the rear suspension, the Matter Aera also comes with the safety net of dual channel ABS, whereas the Kratos misses out on this. With ABS, Aera should offer better braking compared to its rival.
When it comes to features, both electric bikes are more or less equipped to the same level, flaunting the modern-day essential equipment.

For a premium of around Rs 10,000, the Matter Aera offers a much more premium liquid-cooled battery and motor. It even looks pretty quirky, and comes with a four-speed gearbox for sportier riding. On the other hand, the Tork Kratos looks stunning with sporty design and is easier to ride with the CVT. We have ridden Kratos and here’s what we think about it.
