Jeep has launched the Compass Trailhawk SUV in India at a price tag of Rs 30.72 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). It is basically a rugged off-roading version of the Compass. Its major enhancements include revised bumpers, raised suspension, unique 17-inch alloy wheels, decals and badges, a 4LOW mode with a 20:1 ratio to help crawl steep inclinations, and a dedicated 'Rock'mode, which altogether improve the SUVs off-road credibility. It will also get improved traction, articulation, manoeuvrability and water crossing ability.
The Trailhawk will borrow the standard models 170PS 2-litre diesel engine coupled with a 9-speed automatic and an all-wheel drivetrain.

Awesome for adventure lovers jeep compass trailhawk tested on five parameters – traction, Ground clearance, Articulation, Manoeuvrability and water fording ability.Compass trailhawk designed an off-road course, Where we had to take the vehicle through deeply dug ditches, A patch of boulders, Small ponds, Climbing hillocks, Descending down mountains, And everything in-between.

The suspension system includes mc pherson strut and multi-link in the front and at the rear.
