Want your Harrier to have a panoramic sunroof? This is the trim you should consider

Tata Motors has taken the wraps off the 2023 Harrier facelift, which comes in four broad trims: Smart, Pure, Adventure and Fearless. In this report, we’ll be giving you a deep dive into the Harrier’s one-below-top Adventure trim. This particular version opens up into two variants – Adventure and Adventure Plus – the latter adding a couple more features. Here’s everything you need to know in our gallery.

For starters, the Harrier’s Adventure variant gets the same parametric grille, but with silver inserts for added contrast. It also features the connected LED DRLs (without welcome function), LED headlamps as well as fog lamps.

The easiest way to identify the Adventure trim is by looking at the side, thanks to the presence of 18-inch dual-tone alloys. Also, there is ‘Harrier’ badging on the front door, while roof rails and body cladding make it look more rugged.

Rounding off the overall design are the connected LED tail lamps (without welcome function) and a rear bumper with a silver skid plate.

Inside, the Harrier Adventure’s dashboard, which gets different themes depending on the variant you pick, comes finished in a black/tan theme, while the seats are finished in black. Other design highlights inside the cabin include the new four-spoke steering wheel with illuminated Tata logo.

In terms of features, this variant packs a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto/Apple Carplay, a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, single-zone automatic climate control, a height-adjustable driver seat with lumbar support, multiple drive modes, ambient lighting, rear window sunshades, and cruise control.

Opting for the Adventure Plus means you get additional niceties such as a panoramic sunroof, 360-degree camera system, electronic parking brake, wireless phone charger, front parking sensors, an air purifier and paddle shifters and ADAS (last two for the automatic transmission variant).

Powering the Harrier is a sole 170PS 2-litre diesel engine, teamed with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission. The latter, though, is reserved for the Adventure Plus trim.

Considering the number of updates, we suspect the new Tata Harrier will command a premium over the outgoing model, which starts from Rs 15.2 lakh (ex-showroom). It will continue to lock horns with MG Hector, Mahindra XUV700 5-seater and Jeep Compass as well as compact SUVs such as Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos.
