The Auto Expo 2020 is set to take place from February 7-12. We already know the list of attendees and the cars they’ll bring to India’s largest motor show. However, there are a handful of manufacturers who will be giving the 2020 edition a skip. That means, we won’t be able to see some new cars that were trending when unveiled globally. Some recently unveiled cars like the 2020 Honda City will make it to India but won’t be showcased as Honda won’t be present at the show. So without further ado, here are the top 10 cars that won’t make it to the Delhi motor show:
2020 Honda City:

The 2020 Honda City has been unveiled globally and it looks like a mini Civic, which is much appreciated! We have also spotted the sedan testing on the streets of Pune ahead of its mid-2020 launch. Sadly, the 2020 City won’t make it to the Auto Expo. However, you can have a closer look in our detailed image gallery.
2020 Honda Jazz:

The 2020 Honda Jazz comes with a familiar exterior design, a modern interior and a brand new hybrid engine. We also got excited after we had a glimpse of the new model that was unveiled in Tokyo earlier in 2019. However, Honda’s absence at the Auto Expo means we won’t get to see the 2020 Jazz. Further, Honda Cars India is not planning to bring the fourth-generation Jazz to India due to certain reasons.
2020 Toyota Yaris:

Toyota unveiled the 2020 Yaris hatchback in Tokyo, which looks more stylish and swanky when compared to the existing model. It’s based on Toyota’s TNG-A platform. Along with that, the Yaris also comes with a hybrid powertrain and promises to have a fun-to-drive experience. However, since Toyota won’t make it to the expo, we won’t get to see the fun new Yaris.
2020 Skoda Octavia:

Skoda will be present at the Auto Expo showcasing a handful of exciting new models. However, one important car that won’t be present is the 2020 Octavia -- one of its best selling models across the globe. This is because the limelight will be on the Vision IN concept that’ll rival the Creta and Seltos. Skoda will be launching the 2020 Octavia by 2020-end.
2020 Hyundai i20:

The 2020 Hyundai i20 has been spotted plenty of times on Indian roads. But it won’t be displayed at the Auto Expo 2020 as Hyundai has some other exciting unveils planned. Meanwhile, the 2020 Hyundai i20 will be launched in India by mid-2020.
BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe:

The BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe is under consideration for the Indian market. When launched, it will go up against the Mercedes CLA and Audi A3. Its interior takes influence from the premium 3 Series and 5 Series sedan. However, it’ll be a while until we get to see the 2 Series as BMW won’t be present at the Auto Expo. Meanwhile, here’s a detailed read on the 2 Series.
2020 Audi Q3:

Audi’s bread-and-butter model is set to get a refresh soon and will come with more sportier looks, a modern interior, and a gusty BS6-compliant petrol engine. However, you’ll need to wait a little to see it in flesh as Audi won’t make it to India’s largest motor show. That said, the wait is a short one as we have exclusive news on the 2020 Q3’s launch date and price.
Land Rover Defender:

The 2020 Land Rover Defender is the comeback of an iconic name and features neo-retro styling and latest technology. Yes, the Defender is coming to India and has been spotted on our roads. But you need to wait it out a bit as Jaguar Land Rover is bunking the Auto Expo. Meanwhile, check out the Defender doing its thing in James Bond’s upcoming movie ‘No Time To Die’.
Citroen C5 Aircross:

Citroen will kick start its Indian operations with the C5 Aircross SUV. The midsize SUV will take on the likes of the Jeep Compass and upcoming Skoda Karoq. The beauty of the C5 Aircross is its French essence, which has been long missing in the Indian automotive space. However, you need to wait for a while to see the French SUV as it’s expected to debut by the end of 2020.
Audi e-tron:

Audi India has already showcased the e-tron electric SUV in India and has strong plans to launch it in India. The e-tron could also debut as India’s first luxury EV when it comes to India. It comes loaded with the latest technology and more in the form of sleek cameras that replace traditional ORVMs. Meanwhile, take a closer look at the India-bound SUV in our detailed image gallery.
Yes, we won’t be able to have a look at many new exciting cars. That said, the Auto Expo 2020 will bring in many new models from manufacturers attending the event. Here’s a detailed read on the cars planned for Auto Expo 2020 and our wishlist.
