2026 Nissan Tekton To Make Its Global Debut Tomorrow! Here’s What To Expect…

The all-new Nissan Tekton is set to make its global debut tomorrow, and anticipation around the upcoming model is steadily building. While the brand has kept most of the details under wraps, the teasers released so far hint at a bold design language and several interesting features that could make it a significant addition to its segment. With these details in mind, we already have a fair idea of what the Tekton could bring to the table. In this article, we take a look at everything we know so far ahead of its official unveiling:

2026 Nissan Tekton: Exterior 

Nissan is marketing the Tekton as the “Baby Patrol”, and hence you might find some design highlights similar to the big SUV. The teasers have till now shown that the Tekton gets a Patrol-inspired fascia with LED headlights, which is connected by a wide grille with multiple horizontal slats that houses the connected LED DRLs along with a red strip. The tall bonnet with a sculpted design and the “Tekton” lettering adds a dominating effect to its fascia. The front bumpers are expected to be chunky and could house sharp cuts and a silver skid plate to further enhance the muscular road presence. 

From the side, the new Nissan Tekton will carry the strong road presence with a squared-off silhouette with a touch of sportiness. It will have muscular design elements like tall roof rails, thick body cladding, dual-tone alloy wheels, and a window-mounted rear door handle for a minimalistic look.

Moving to the rear, the overall design is expected to be sporty, which will complement the overall design profile. The tailgate carries a sleek and sharp look, along with a large integrated roof spoiler and a sharply raked rear windshield that further enhances its sporty credentials. Moving down, it sports a connected LED lighting strip between the ‘C-shaped’ taillights and the Nissan badge at the centre. The rear bumper is also expected to get thick cladding along with sharp elements, a faux skid plate, and a prominent silver applique.

Although Nissan hasn’t revealed the complete interior yet, teasers suggest that the cabin is set for a premium and upmarket experience. The dashboard is expected to boast a contemporary cockpit design with a neat dual-screen layout, which will be slightly tilted towards the driver.

The cabin is expected to get premium materials, leatherette seat upholstery, soft-touch materials on the dashboard and door pads, steering-mounted controls, and a sleek gear shifter. Further, the cabin is expected to be spacious with a comfortable seating position and large windows just like we have seen on the Renault Duster, which is based on the same platform.

2026 Nissan Tekton: Features And Safety

The Tekton is an important product for Nissan, and we expect the SUV to be fully equipped with all modern features to take on the competition. It is expected to carry forward a similar set of features that are offered on the Duster including a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Google built-in, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 10.1-inch digital driver’s display, 6-speaker sound system, panoramic sunroof, powered tailgate, dual-zone climate control, powered and ventilated front seats, 48-colour ambient lighting, electrically-adjustable ORVMs with auto-fold, automatic headlights, rain-sensing wipers and a wireless phone charger.

Speaking of safety, the Nissan Tekton is expected to be equipped with a Level-2 ADAS suite, 360-degree camera, front and rear parking sensors, electronic parking brake with auto-hold, 6 airbags, electronic stability program, traction control, hill hold assist, hill descent control, tyre pressure monitoring system, rear wiper with defogger, and ISOFIX child seat mounts. 

2026 Nissan Tekton: Powertrain 

Nissan is expected to offer the new Tekton with two turbo-petrol engine options. Both manual and automatic gearboxes are expected to be on offer with the 1.3-litre turbo petrol engine, while the 1-litre unit is expected to be manual-exclusive.

The Tekton will take on popular names in the segment, like the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Renault Duster, Maruti Grand Vitara and Victoris, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Tata Sierra and Curvv, Honda Elevate, MG Astor, Skoda Kushaq and Volkswagen Taigun.
