Tata Sierra EV Launch Tomorrow: Check Out These 7 Other EVs Launching In 2026

Tomorrow, you are going to see the Tata Sierra EV everywhere: on YouTube, Instagram, and all over the internet in general. And it fully deserves to. Skateboard platform, dual-motor all-wheel drive, two battery sizes, up to 500 km of real-world range, and that gorgeous exterior. All of this for roughly Rs 25 lakhs -- now that's a sweet deal. But the EV action is just beginning for 2026. Many more EVs are coming up, which range from under Rs 10 lakhs to well over a crore. Here are 7 of those cars that just might fit your requirements better.

VinFast VF3/VF3 Based EV

This tiny VinFast is the cutest thing moving around town, i.e. the VF3. SUV in the footprint of an MG Comet, this hatchback will surely turn heads.

It could be launched closer to October 2026 with a price of Rs 6–10 lakh. Like its size, expect a small battery pack of around 25 kWh with a claimed range of close to 200–250 km. I am sure this little car will win a lot of hearts, if not customers.

Hyundai Small EV

A rival to the Tata Punch EV, this Hyundai Inster-based EV can be an ideal city EV solution.

The battery pack might be around 42 kWh and offer a real-world range of around 350 km. Plus, like other Hyundai cars, this hatchback will come packed with features including DC fast charging, dual digital displays, connected car technology, wireless smartphone connectivity, and possibly ADAS. All of this with a sticker price of between Rs 8–15 lakh (ex-showroom).

Kia Syros EV

Wait another month, and you can pick a more compact EV. Friendlier to drive and park in the city with a claimed range ample for a weekly charge cycle.

The sub-4-metre Kia Syros EV will be an electric SUV that will be priced around Rs 14 lakh to Rs 16 lakh and will rival the Tata Nexon EV and the Mahindra XUV 3XO EV. It will likely get a 45–55 kWh battery pack with a 400–450 km expected range. Other features will include ADAS, dual screens, ventilated front and rear seats, and all others from the ICE Syros.

Mahindra Thar.e

Another blockbuster of 2026, we might see the near-production prototype of the Mahindra Thar E, is expected to debut sometime this year. It will be built on the INGLO EV platform and is expected to have a price tag of Rs 25 lakh to Rs 30 lakh.

This will be less practical than both the cars mentioned above, but if you are looking for maximum capability and presence, the Thar.e will be worth the wait. A 60–80 kWh battery with dual-motor all-wheel drive should give it an estimated real-world range of up to 500 km. This will likely get features from the BE6 and XEV twins, which means a digital cockpit, ADAS, heads-up display, and possibly a removable roof!

Volvo EX90

If these cars don't float your boat and you want something more premium, Volvo has you covered.

The flagship EX90 will be coming to India by September 2026. With pricing expected above Rs 1 crore, the twin-motor, 500 PS yacht on wheels will drive for up to 600 km with its 111 kWh battery. On the tech side, the EX90 uses LiDAR, a Google-based operating system, and 250 kW DC fast charging.

Tata Avinya

The Avinya is not a car. Just like BE, which is for Mahindra, the Avinya will be an independent brand that will sit between Tata and JLR. Like the 'Freelander' brand in China.

The first launch is expected by early 2027 at a price of around Rs 35–45 lakh. Now, there are not a lot of details available about the Avinya range of products, but it is expected to have a battery pack of around 75–90 kWh, giving it close to 600 km of driving range. Another highlight could be its ultra-fast DC charging, which will make it very practical for inter-city road trips. And of course, safety and features will be luxury-car-like with Level 2+ ADAS, triple screens, a full glass roof, and much more.

MG IM6

Another good-looking car on the list, the MG IM6 is a crossover from the future.

Expected to launch in October 2026, this premium EV will be priced around Rs 60–70 lakh. But at this price, the IM6 will come with a large 75–100 kWh battery pack option and a claimed range of around 700 km. Performance will be managed by a dual-motor all-wheel-drive setup, with the top-spec variant producing close to 500 PS.
