The new variants do look good, but that comes at a cost... a hefty one

We thought Royal Enfield would launch the all-new Classic 350 in its BS6 avatar, but instead, we got the slightly updated model with a few cosmetic tweaks and an updated motor. The base variant of the BS6-compliant Classic 350 is priced at Rs 1.65 lakh (ex-showroom), making it around Rs 12,000 more expensive than the BS4 model. But what about the other colour options? Here’s a detailed price list of all variants:

Variants

Ex-showroom price in the rest of India

Price premium of BS6 bike compared to the ex-showroom Delhi price of the BS4 model

Ex-showroom price of the BS6 bike in Kerala

Ex-showroom price of the BS6 bike in Karnataka

Rs 11,122

Rs 1,66,315

Rs 1,63,304

Gunmetal Grey

Rs 1,69,791

Rs 14,051

Rs 1,71,117

Rs 1,66,706

Signals edition (Airborne Blue and Stormrider Sand)

Rs 11,122

Rs 1,76,586

Rs 1,71,964

Stealth Black and Chrome Black

Rs 1,81,727

NA

Rs 1,83,147

Rs 1,80,006

As you can see in the table above, the price remains the same everywhere, except Kerala and Karnataka where there’s a slight difference. Now, we haven’t received any official word from the brand, but we believe varying tax structures in these states could have led to the price difference. And if you’re planning to buy either the new matte black variant or the chrome model, you have to shell out a lot more than the standard variant. At Rs 1,81,727 lakh, these are the most expensive models in the Classic 350’s lineup.

Royal Enfield hasn’t revealed the spec sheet yet, but we expect the updated 346cc fuel-injected motor to have a slightly different power output compared to the older model. For reference, the BS4 Classic 350 makes 20PS at 5250rpm and 28Nm at 4000rpm. Moreover, Royal Enfield is offering a three-year warranty and three-year roadside assistance for the BS6 bikes as standard. The BS4 model comes with a two-year standard warranty and one-year roadside assistance.
