What exactly are you missing out on by paying Rs 500 lesser every month?

Revolt has launched two versions of its RV400 electric motorcycle, the Base and Premium. The RV400 can be yours by just subscribing to the ‘My Revolt Plan’. The Base model is available for Rs 3,499 per month and the Premium one for Rs 3,999 per month, for 37 months. By opting for the base model, how different is your ownership experience going to be with the RV400?

The main difference between the two variants is in the feature list. By opting for the Base variant, you miss out on the RV400 Premium’s service plan wherein the brake fluid and brake pads are changed thrice while the tyres are changed once at no additional cost over the period of the subscription plan. Additionally, the Base variant misses out on features like remote key, push start, bike immobiliser and the unique exhaust sound simulation system. And while the Base variant gets a standard 5-year third party insurance, the extended insurance scheme of 1+2 years is not included.

When you look at the economic side of buying the Base RV400, a one time mandatory charge of Rs 5,000 has to be paid for the 4G connectivity. This means, you would end up spending Rs 1.34 lakh at the end of the 37 month contract period. This saves nearly Rs 14,000 over the Premium variant over the course of the same period. While missing out keyless start and the faux exhaust note feature is not a big downer, you’d be better off if you stretch your budget for the Premium variant as it keeps your bike better protected when it comes to servicing and insurance.
