Kawasaki India has silently updated the Ninja 300 motorcycle for the Indian market. The Japanese bikemaker has ridden in the Ninja 300 KRT edition for our two-wheeler market. The new Kawasaki Ninja 300 KRT Edition has been priced at Rs 3.61 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai). The new Ninja 300 will be on sale at all Bajaj run Pro-Biking dealerships across the country. The KRT nomenclature stands for Kawasaki Racing Team and gets a special livery. The graphics on the motorcycle has been inspired from Kawasaki's race bike of WSBK (world superbike) series.

Apart from the visual changes, no updates have been made on the motorcycle. Prior to the Kawasaki Ninja 300 KRT, the Japanese two-wheeler giant also had the Ninja 300 30th Anniversary edition on sale. Powering the Kawasaki Ninja 300 is a 296cc displacement, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin motor churning out 39PS and 27Nm of peak torque. The power plant has been mated to a 6-speed gearbox and it also gets the benefit of slipper clutch. The Kawasaki Ninja 300 is locally assembled with minor localisation. The Ninja 300 KRT Edition competes against the likes of the Yamaha R3, KTM RC390 and the Hyosung GT250R.
