Is one of two concepts that showcase Haval’s future vision

  • Features a relatively clean design with sleek headlamps and connected tail lamps.
  • It comes with equipment like facial and biometric recognition, connected car tech, and an augmented reality head-up display.
  • Unlikely to get a production spec model before 2025.
  • But some of its futuristic tech could make its way to future models before 2025.

While Great Wall Motors has around 13 products consisting of Haval SUVs and Ora EVs on display at Auto Expo 2020, it also showed off two concept SUVs. One of them is the Vision 2025 concept SUV, essentially a glimpse of GWM’s vision for its ideal vehicle of 2025.

The Vision 2025 concept SUV boasts a clean design that resembles more of a production vehicle than a  concept vehicle. The front end features a white grille which blends with the rest of the body, coupled with a sleek set of headlamps. Aggressively designed wheels make up the side profile. The rear continues the sleek nature of the concept SUV with a thin set of connected taillamps.

While it is relatively tame on the outside, the Vision 2025 concept boasts plenty of gizmos inside. It   gets features like facial and biometric recognition, and an augmented reality head-up display (AR-HUD) which can display information over a large portion of the windscreen. Another interesting bit is that the outer rear view mirrors have been replaced with cameras that project onto dash-mounted screens, like the Audi e-tron.

A unique feature in the Vision 2025’s facial and biometric recognition software is that it can set multimedia and seating preferences based on cloud database information about the car’s user. Other equipment consists of a remote control bracelet that will allow Vision 2025 owners to get packages and mail delivered directly to the car. It also comes with a suite of connected car technologies that are part of the SUV’s advanced onboard control systems.

As the name suggests, don’t expect a production iteration of the concept SUV anytime before 2025. However, we could get some of its technical wizardry trickling down to its future products soon enough.
