While the motorcycle is yet to be launched, we got you an exclusive sneak peek at this new colour

UPDATE: Yamaha has launched the Metallic Red colour priced at Rs 1,52,100 (ex-showroom Delhi), making it Rs 400 more expensive than the Racing Blue option and Rs 600 cheaper than the top-of-the-line Dark Knight livery. Apart from the colour, no changes have been made to the motorcycle.

Yamaha R15 is currently priced between Rs 1.51 lakh and Rs 1.53 lakh.
The new red colour is likely to be priced at a premium.
No changes to the bike’s engine or features.
It rivals the KTM RC125.

The R15 Version 3.0, Yamaha’s entry-level super-sport bike, will be offered in a new, sassy red colour in the coming days. We have got some exclusive images of the new shade from our sources. Currently, the R15 is offered in three colour options and at the following prices:

The new red colour is expected to be priced at par with the Racing Blue and Dark Knight shades.

As seen in these images, the fairing, fuel tank, and the trim beneath the pillion seat are finished in red, while the cowl above the LED headlamps is in a contrasting grey. Apart from the new colour, neither feature nor hardware-related changes have been made.

The bike continues to utilise a 155cc single-cylinder motor, developing 18.6PS of power and 14.1Nm of torque. Power is transferred via a 6-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch. It also comes with dual-channel ABS, which is lacking in its naked sibling, the MT15.
