The exterior of the Bolero Neo facelift remains similar to the outgoing version, albeit with some changes to make it fresher. At the front, you now get a new grille with chrome inserts and horizontal slats. The faux skid plate on the bumper now gets finished in silver (pre-facelift version had it in grey). Towards the side, it gets new 16-inch dark metallic grey alloy wheels and a black roof to give it a sportier stance. At the rear, the only change is that the spare wheel cover is now finished in body colour(instead of silver in the pre-facelift). Besides this, the Bolero Neo retains the boxy shape and an upright stance for a butch look.

As for the exterior paint options, it gets new Jeans Blue and Concrete Grey options along with the existing Napoli Black, Pearl White, Diamond White, Rocky Beige and DSAT Silver hues.
Inside, the Bolero Neo stays identical in terms of the cabin layout. However, buyers can now get the interior in either Mocha Brown or Lunar Grey colour themes (based on the variant). In terms of feature additions, it gets leatherette seats, an updated 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, USB Type-C charging ports and reverse parking camera. The equipment list also includes cruise control, height-adjustable driver seat, electrically-adjustable outside rearview mirrors and follow-me-home headlamps.

As for safety, you get the aforementioned reverse camera as the only addition while it retains features such as dual airbags, cornering brake control, seatbelt reminder and reverse parking sensors. Note that the Bolero Neo had previously scored a poor 1-star rating in the Global NCAP crash tests.
Under the hood, the Bolero Neo is powered by the same 1.5-litre diesel engine with a 5-speed manual transmission as the pre-facelift car. Here are the detailed specifications of the Bolero Neo:

Notably, Mahindra has updated the 2025 Bolero Neo with frequency dependent dampers for a smoother ride over rough road conditions. You can also have the SUV with an optional mechanical-locking differential for better off-road capabilities.
In terms of rivals, the Bolero Neo goes up against other subcompact SUVs like the Maruti Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon and Renault Kiger. Being a 7 seater, it could also be considered as a modern alternative to its sibling, the Bolero and the Renault Triber or Maruti Ertiga.

Mahindra’s Bolero Neo has always been the underdog of the subcompact SUV segment, and while it may not be as modern as some rivals, it offers a tough and rugged experience, while being reasonably comfortable and easy to live with. This facelift addresses some of its issues while giving it a breath of fresh air in face of new competition. However, we would have liked to see Mahindra include 6 airbags, electronic stability control and structural reinforcements to make it safer given the heightened awareness among buyers.
