Mahindra has given the Bolero Neo a facelift, making the rugged and reliable SUV feel more modern and appealing. While it continues to carry the same tough and practical DNA that buyers love, the updated model adds a dash of modern touches, comfort, and some new hues. The idea here might just be to make it more suitable for both urban and rural users without compromising its core identity as a dependable, go-anywhere SUV.
The updates include subtle yet meaningful improvements to the design, a more premium cabin, and added tech that makes everyday driving easier and more enjoyable. So, if you’ve been eyeing a compact ladder-frame SUV that balances ruggedness with comfort, here’s everything new on the 2025 Bolero Neo.
Without further ado, here’s a closer look at the key updates of the SUV, taking you through the exterior, interior, features, and more….
The 2025 Bolero Neo gets a handful of cosmetic tweaks that refine its rugged personality. The front now sports a revised horizontal grille that gives it a wider stance, while the new alloy wheel design (dark metallic grey) adds a hint of sophistication. The faux skid plate is now finished in silver instead of grey.

You also get a fresh dual-tone roof option and two new colour choices, including a grey and a blue hue. These colours add more excitement to the overall look. Colour options that have been carried forward include Napoli Black, Pearl White, Diamond White, Rocky Beige, and DSAT Silver hues.
While the basic silhouette remains unmistakably Bolero, these design enhancements give the Neo a slightly more urban-friendly image. It’s still muscular, but now with just enough polish to turn heads on city roads, too.

The 2025 Bolero steps up in cabin comfort. There are better materials, including leatherette seats, that make the cabin feel more premium now. The major update is that you now get a new 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Moreover, Mahindra had also made the SUV more practical with enhanced storage spaces.
The Bolero Neo can be in either a Mocha Brown or Lunar Grey hue, depending on the variant that you opt for.
To keep your phone’s battery topped up, you now also get Type-C charging ports. While the Bolero Neo isn’t trying to be luxurious, these upgrades make it more comfortable and tech-friendly, perfectly balancing its rugged appeal with urban practicality.

Mahindra has focused on practicality with this update, bringing in the features that truly make a difference in daily driving. The 9-inch touchscreen system is the biggest addition, making the SUV feel more modern. You also get a rearview camera, which would make parking the SUV a bit easier.
Other conveniences include steering-mounted audio controls, electrically-adjustable outside rearview mirrors, follow-me-home headlamps, a height-adjustable driver’s seat, power windows for all four doors, cruise control, and a 6-speaker audio setup. These features ensure the Bolero Neo doesn’t feel bare-bones anymore, especially considering its rugged positioning. So, for an SUV that is priced under Rs 10 lakh, the equipment list feels competitive.
On the safety front, it continues with dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, ISOFIX child seat mounts, and cornering brake control. A big miss in the safety department is that the SUV still only gets two airbags, and not 6 airbags, something that you even get to see on entry-level cars nowadays.

The 2025 Bolero Neo retains the trusted 1.5-litre mHawk diesel engine that has powered the SUV for years. This proven motor continues to produce 100 PS of power and 260 Nm of peak torque, paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. Power is delivered to the rear wheels, maintaining the Neo’s familiar rear-wheel-drive layout, something that is rare in this price range.
The strong low-end torque ensures excellent drivability, whether you’re crawling through traffic or tackling rough rural roads. Mahindra claims to have fine-tuned the steering to offer better feedback and control, while the braking system has been recalibrated to deliver a stronger and more confidence-inspiring response.
Mahindra has also upgraded the 2025 Bolero Neo’s driving credentials with frequency-dependent dampers for a comfy ride over rough road conditions. For enhanced off-road capabilities, you can also opt for an optional multi-locking differential.
The Bolero Neo can be had in five trims: N4, N8, N10, N10 (O), and N11. The N11 is the new variant in the lineup.
The Bolero Neo’s prices range from Rs 8.48 lakh(ex-showroom) to Rs 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
The Bolero Neo’s 7-seater rivals include the Maruti Ertiga, Renault Triber, and even the standard Bolero. At a similar price, you also get subcompact SUVs like the Maruti Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon, Kia Sonet, Skoda Kylaq, Maruti Fronx, and Renault Kiger.

The 2025 Mahindra Bolero Neo might not be a complete overhaul, but the upgrades are thoughtful and impactful. The small design tweaks, improved interiors, added convenience features, and better driving features make it more relevant for today’s buyers, especially those who want a rugged SUV without compromising too much on comfort or tech.
For buyers in rural areas or those who frequently travel on rough roads, the Bolero Neo continues to be one of the most practical and dependable choices in the market. It’s built to be driven in harsh conditions, and now it also feels a bit more special inside. Mahindra has managed to strike the right balance between old-school strength and modern usability.
With aggressive pricing, it offers great road presence and sheer value against most of its rivals.
