Numeros has launched its new electric scooter, the n-First in India. Introductory prices start at Rs 64,999 (ex-showroom) for the first 1,000 customers, and the booking amount is set at Rs 499. The scooter is offered in three variants: n-max, i-max, and i-max+, each offering different features and claimed ranges. Deliveries to begin from January 2026.
Visually, the Numeros n-First looks funky and unconventional, and it really stand out from typical scooters. However, this unique design comes at a cost: the floorboard area is small, and underseat storage is not very practical. There's space only for a small pouch under the rider's seat (to stow the charging cable), a space under the pillion seat that's big enough for a wallet, and perhaps a phone; lastly an additional space in the floorboard as well. All three variants are offered in two colors: Traffic Red, and Pure White.

This electric scooter has a chain driven, permanent magnet mid-mounted motor that makes a peak power of 2.5kW on the top version, 1.8kW in the base and mid-spec variants. The peak torque and gradeability remain same across the board at 34Nm and 10 degrees, respectively. The i-max+ has a top speed of 70kmph, while the lower two models can go up to 55kmph. It gets two riding modes: Eco, and Normal; the i-max+ adds a Sport mode.
The base max and mid-spec i-max variants have a 2.5kWh battery capacity, offering a claimed range of 91km. The top-spec i-max+ can go up to 109km with its larger 3kWh battery. A 480 watt portable charger is included, and it takes 7-8 hours for the top variant to charge, and 5-6 hours for the other two (0-100% for both). All variants use a Li-ion battery pack that's rated IP67 for water and dust resistance.

The standout feature of this Numeros scooter has to be its large 16-inch wheels, which are wrapped in 80-section front and 90-section rear Eurogrip tubeless tyres. These large wheels should help in better stability and comfort over rough patches. The scooter uses a telescopic fork and adjustable dual rear shocks. There are drum brakes at both ends, with combined braking system (CBS). The max and i-max weigh 112kg kerb, while the i-max+ weighs 117kg. All have a healthy ground clearance of 159mm.
Apart from the small floorboard area, it also gets a utility hook on the apron, and a small open cubbyhole with integrated charging port as well. The n-First electric scooter comes with a LCD console with smartphone connectivity. There's also a massive universal phone holder, so that you can simply use your phone for full-fledged navigation. Oh, there's a reverse mode as well.

The Numeros n-First goes up against the BGauss RUV 350, which follows a similar design philosophy. While the N-First’s big wheels and quirky styling make it interesting, those seeking everyday convenience may rather go for a conventional electric scooter with underseat storage - perhaps, something like the Vida VX2.
