Quick Highlights:
Based on the base variant of the standard Jawa 350; gets the same price
Gets a few accessories over the standard model
Limited to 500 units only
Jawa 350 Legacy Edition has been launched in India at Rs 1,98,950 (ex-showroom), which is the same price as the base, spoke-wheel variant of the standard model. It’s a limited-edition roadster, with only 500 units. Though the changes are only to a few comfort-oriented bits; the bike remains the same mechanically.
The limited-run Jawa 350 Legacy Edition gets a tall windscreen up front, a cushioned pillion backrest, and chrome crash guard as standard. The customers will also get a leather keychain and Jawa 350 scale model.
Just like the standard Jawa 350, this limited edition bike is powered by a 334cc liquid-cooled engine that makes 22.5PS and 28.1Nm, which is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. Underpinnings of the roadster include a conventional fork with 35mm stanchions, twin rear shock absorbers with preload adjustability, disc brakes on both ends. It has a 178mm ground clearance, 13.2-litre fuel tank, and an accessible 790mm seat height.
Since the Legacy Edition is based on the lower variant, it too gets 18-inch tubed spoke wheels, with disc brakes on both ends.
The Legacy Edition of the Jawa 350 has a good value-for-money if you were planning to get a base variant any time soon. For the same amount of money, you now get some extra goodies, albeit only if you are quick enough to order one. Though, this makes good sense only if you were in the market for a retro-roadster in the price segment.
However, we wish Jawa would have made it more special with something like a special commemorative livery or a limited-run paint scheme. That would have really made it stand out and exclusive. Right now looks just like a standard model with some optional accessories, and not exclusive enough. Though, for the price, it won’t be right to complain, since all that exclusive stuff would have considerably jacked up the price.
