The Yamaha R15 V4 was the highest-selling motorcycle for the company in September this year. That too by a mile.

Yamaha sold 11,792 units of the R15 V4, significantly more than the combined sales of the Yamaha FZ Fi, FZ-X, FZ-25, and MT-15.

All that at a starting price of Rs 1.67 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), and the package becomes too good to be true. The R15 V4’s closest rival, the KTM RC 125, has also been updated for 2021. But at around Rs 17,000 more than the R15, it isn’t the best value-for-money offering around. 

Let’s hope the R15 V4’s honeymoon period lasts long.
