The first week of the month of April 2025 brought some exciting news from major two-wheeler brands - along with teasers, leaked documents, and updates about upcoming models. Here is your weekly round-up:
The KTM 390 SMC R was spotted testing in India again - that too with a saree guard and pillion grab rails. This suggests that the bike could launch here soon. It shares its underpinnings with the 390 Enduro R and is expected to be priced around Rs 3.3 lakh (ex-showroom). It will be the road-biased version of the Enduro with street oriented tyres and 17-inch wheels.

The 2025 390 Enduro R has been officially teased by KTM on their social media channels ahead of its launch in India. The bike will come packed with off-road focused goodies like tubeless spoked wheels, knobby tyres, switchable ABS, and adjustable long-travel suspension at both ends. With a price expected to be around Rs 3.30 lakh (ex-showroom), it will rival the Kawasaki KLX 230.

Ola Electric’s future product lineup was leaked - it includes six new e-scooters and six new e-bikes. The launch of these models is expected to start from July 2025. Ola aims to expand its presence in the electric mobility space with these new offerings.

The 2025 Benelli Leoncino 250 was recently spotted testing in India, hinting at a possible launch soon here. Expected to be priced between Rs 2.7 lakh to Rs 2.8 lakh, the Leoncino 250 will become the most affordable Benelli bike on sale upon launch. It will rival other 250cc motorcycles like the Husqvarna Vitpilen 250, KTM Duke 250, Bajaj Dominar 250, Hero Xtreme 250, and the Suzuki Gixxer 250.

Kawasaki is all set to launch the 2025 Z900 in India soon, as hinted by its design patent filing in the country. It will be launched with design tweaks such as a new projector headlight, a W-shaped taillight, and a revised fuel tank. The Z900 will also feature an updated TFT console with smartphone connectivity, ride modes, and cornering traction control. It will retain its inline-four, 948cc, liquid-cooled engine, and come in two variants. Expected price is around Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom).

That wraps up this week’s highlights! Stay tuned for more updates on new launches, price details, and updates as the month progresses.
