Royal Enfield announced the Continental GT Cup Season 2025
Registrations started on May 1, 2025
Tryouts to be held in eight major cities this year as opposed to four last year
A few years ago, using ‘Royal Enfield’ and ‘race track’ in the same sentence would have sounded really silly. But now, the bikemaker has come a looong way, making machines that are on par with some of the big bikes that come from global brands. Now with its 650 platform, Royal Enfield has been proactive with racing too, thanks to the introduction of the Continental GT Cup. The 2025 season has just been announced.
The tryouts of the event this year will be held in eight different cities as opposed to four from last year, where amateurs will battle it out for the spot in the finals.
Royal Enfield will select a total of 64 amateur riders (8 from each city) to compete on the same track with 50 pro riders. A total of 24 riders will be selected from this pool, who will then compete for the final trophy. Each rider who is selected, will get 2 days of track time– Day 1 for training from experts, and Day 2 for selections based on the lap times of the participants.
The tryouts are scheduled from May 10 till June 29,2025, across the 8 cities. The selected riders, with the professionals they are paired with, will compete for the final trophy at the Kari Motor Speedway, Coimbatore (Tamil Nadu) from July 3-6, 2025. Additionally, the Pro-Am format along with the ‘Twin Power Trophy’ also returns, where a pro rider is paired with an amateur, giving new riders an excellent opportunity to learn from the professionals.

The Royal Enfield Continental GT 650s that are used for the races feature quite some extraordinary mods. The bike gets a stainless steel free-flow exhaust system that’s not only lighter but is also tuned to produce 12% more power. It also gets a stiffened suspension setup and a massive 24kg of weightloss, making it the perfect machine for the racetrack.
The bikes also feature a steering damper for more stability, more aggressive clip-on handlebars and rearset footpegs for a committed riding position and to achieve greater lean angles. The bikes are also fitted with special rubber from JK Tyre, who also happen to be the sponsors of the event. You can register for the event at Royal Enfield’s official website.
It’s an absolute treat to watch these beefy machines go at unreal speeds around a race track. We even got a chance to sample the formidable race-spec Continental GT, and you can read our experience here.
What’s more, the 2026 season will probably get even wilder as we expect the Royal Enfield Continental GT-R 750 to debut at the season. In fact, the bike has been spotted testing, and here’s when it’ll be launched.
