Honda has commenced the deliveries of the Rebel 500 and the X-ADV in India
-
The Rebel 500 is available only in three cities, while the X-ADV is available pan-India (only in premium Honda dealerships)
May has been quite eventful for Honda India. First, the manufacturer launched the Rebel 500 cruiser motorcycle, which was later followed by the X-ADV adventure scooter and then the launch of the big Hornets. Now, the deliveries for the Rebel and X-ADV have begun in India and here’s all you need to know about them:
The Rebel
The first delivery of the Honda Rebel 500 took place in its Gurugram Bigwing Topline dealership. Three Honda Rebel 500s were delivered to the customers together. Available only in black in India, the Rebel 500 is sold only in Gurugram, Mumbai and Bengaluru BigWing Topline dealerships.

Powered by a 471cc liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine that produces 46PS and 43.3Nm, it is the same engine that we have previously seen on the capable Honda NX500. The Rebel 500 is the only other Japanese 500cc cruiser apart from the Kawasaki Eliminator 500. While the Rebel’s availability is limited, the Eliminator is sold in pretty much all Kawasaki dealerships across the country. If you find the Rebel to be too expensive, and are looking for a premium cruiser, then you can take a look at the Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650, which costs a lot less than the Rebel.
The X-ADV
Apart from the cruiser, deliveries for the Honda X-ADV have commenced as well. The first scooter was delivered from the same Gurugram dealership. Unlike the Rebel 500, the X-ADV is available in two colour options: Black and White, and the first scooter to be delivered was in the white paint scheme. We really wish Honda had brought in the yellow coloured one as it really highlights the unique design of the scooter. As for where you can buy one, the X-ADV is available through Honda’s Topline dealers across the country.

The X-ADV is powered by a 745cc liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine with a DCT gearbox. It makes 58.6PS and 69Nm, and is filled to the brim with features. The X-ADV is all about bragging rights of having the most unique yet capable scooter that’s unlike anything that’s ever seen in the Indian market. If you’re an ADV enthusiast looking for a middle-weight motorcycle, then you have the Triumph Tiger 900 or the Suzuki V-Strom 800DE to choose from.
