The last month of 2025 promises to be filled with action as far as car launches in India are concerned. Many significant new models will make their way to our shores next month, ranging from mass-market EVs and SUVs to an iconic convertible. Here's a detailed look at all the cars confirmed, and one major bonus reveal coming next month.
Launch Date: December 2
Maruti Suzuki will launch the e Vitara on December 2, marking the brand's entry into the electric SUV segment. This model is likely to make its debut with two battery pack options, with its range comfortably exceeding 500 km for higher variants. Though official specifications will be known only at the time of the launch, the e Vitara is almost certain to carry forward the usual Maruti strengths of efficiency, practicality, and wide network support.
It will be positioned as a premium EV and sold through the NEXA channel. Given the modern styling, connected features, and feature-rich cabin that are expected in the e Vitara, rivals will include the Hyundai Creta Electric, Mahindra BE 6, MG ZS EV, Tata Curvv EV, and even the VinFast VF6.
Launch Date: December 9
Tata Motors is preparing to introduce petrol powertrains for the Harrier and Safari in December. Both SUVs will get Tata's 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine, which also finds its way in the new Tata Sierra. This new engine will be offered alongside the existing 2-litre diesel, offering customers a more refined and smoother alternative. Especially those who are living in the smog-filled Delhi-NCR region with NGT norms, where buying a diesel car is like a poker hand.

The Harrier and Safari lineups will finally mirror the dual-powertrain strategy of their competitors with these additions. These petrol variants are also likely to bring down starting prices, which will make the SUVs more competitive against rivals such as the MG Hector, Mahindra XUV700, and Hyundai Alcazar.
Debut Date: December 10
Kia will take the wraps off the next-generation Seltos on December 10, 2025. Though India prices can be expected in 2026, the showcase this month will reveal the SUV in an all-new avatar.

From teasers to official information, the new Seltos gets a more upright stance, updated LED lighting with vertical DRLs, redesigned bumpers, and a cleaner rear profile. A major update for its interior should bring in a new dashboard layout, premium materials, and a more advanced digital cockpit. It is likely to continue with the current engine options, including a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol, 1.5-litre turbo-petrol, and a 1.5-litre diesel.
Expected Launch: December 2025
Mini will relaunch its Cooper Convertible in India this December. The new model retains all the charm of a classic Mini but brings updated styling, a modern interior, and the brand's new digital cockpit layout. The roof remains fabric and opens or closes in seconds.

Under the hood, the Convertible shall continue a 2-litre turbo-petrol engine, developing 204 PS and 300 Nm of torque, paired with a 7-speed DCT gearbox system. Positioned as a lifestyle vehicle, it is aimed at buyers looking for something unique, fun-to-drive, and distinctly quirky.
Expected Announcement: First Week Of December 2025
While the Tata Sierra launched in November, full variant-wise pricing will be revealed by Tata sometime in the first week of December. The new Sierra is one of the most-awaited SUVs of the year and marks the return of an iconic nameplate in a thoroughly modern avatar.

The SUV features a triple-screen interior layout, a premium cabin, a panoramic sunroof, and Tata's new 1.5-litre TGDI turbo-petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engines. With the detailed pricelist coming through, the Sierra will stay in the spotlight through the first half of 2026.
This month is filled with crucial launches across segments, electric SUVs, updated petrol models, a global debut- even a premium convertible. Of these, mainstream buyers will care most about the e Vitara and the Harrier/Safari petrol options. Enthusiasts will have their eyes peeled for the MINI Convertible, meanwhile. And after the global reveal of the next-gen Seltos, Tata will release the full price list of the Sierra, so the month will end with some big-ticket announcements, too.
Which of these December arrivals are you most excited about? Let us know in the comments.
