Toyota has launched the Glanza facelift in the Indian market ahead of the festive season, with a starting price of 6.99 lakh (ex-showroom). As we all know, the Glanza is a rebadged version of the Maruti Baleno, which, for reference, is among the country’s favourite hatchbacks. Toyota has updated its hatchback with design refreshes, new features, and a new engine to make it more appealing. If you are curious about the new Glanza, here is a detailed look in 13 images:
2026 Toyota Glanza Facelift: Exterior
Front
The front fascia is where the majority of the design enhancements have taken place. The first thing to grab your attention is the new bumper and grille, which have grown in size and show that the Glanza has taken a completely different approach to styling. The new large mesh grille gets a chrome strip running along its upper edge and is flanked by silver inserts around its surroundings.

The LED fog lamps now have redesigned housings, which add to the updated front-end styling, while the LED projector headlamps continue unchanged from the older model.

The Toyota emblem has moved higher on the bumper, closer to the bonnet, because the black plastic panel in the centre of the grille now houses the radar for the ADAS system. The Glanza facelift also gets an ADAS camera mounted on the windscreen with a defogger.

Side
The side profile remains largely unchanged; it continues with the same silhouette and offers minor design updates with both premium and sporty touches. The only notable addition to the side profile is a new side skirt and a new shark fin antenna, which replaces the conventional antenna that was offered on the older model.

Interestingly, despite being a facelift, the Glanza continues with the same 16-inch alloy wheels as seen on the outgoing model.

It continues to retain its sporty stance with a boomerang shape on the C-pillar and chrome window lines, and it also gets chrome door handles. The raked windscreen and the raked rear glass lend the Glanza a coupe-like appearance. The side appearance is further enhanced by blacked-out A-, B-, and C-pillars. The ORVMs come finished in body colour and continue to offer a camera mounted underneath for a 360-degree view, along with turn indicators. The ORVMs are electrically adjustable and foldable.
Rear
Moving to the rear, it also remains very similar to the outgoing Glanza, but gets minor design updates. The rear bumper carries the same bulky design as before, which results in a smaller tailgate.

The hatchback retains the C-shaped LED taillights, a chrome strip connecting them, and an integrated roof spoiler. It also continues to offer a rear wiper, washer, and defogger.

The overall design of the Toyota Glanza remains largely familiar, with the updates primarily limited to the front fascia. Toyota is also offering a bunch of additional accessories with the new Glanza. If you want to customise yours, you can check out Toyota’s official accessories brochure.

About The 2026 Toyota Glanza Facelift
The Glanza still awaits massive sales like the Maruti Baleno, ever since its first launch in 2019 as the first partnership product between Maruti Suzuki and Toyota. This facelift aims to improve upon the already successful formula with a new engine, new features, and reworked styling as well, alongside just the interior updates.
On the inside, the 2026 Toyota Glanza’s cabin also remains largely similar to the outgoing model, making it a familiar space to be in, with only a few new feature additions to enhance the overall experience. The dashboard continues to have a layered appearance, which is separated across the width of the dashboard by a glossy black accent. The interior gets a dual-tone Black and Beige theme, which looks very premium, both on the dashboard and on the seats. However, a little bit of dirt might accumulate on lighter-coloured elements inside.

The centre stage is taken by a free-standing touchscreen infotainment screen with horizontal AC vents and its controls below it. The three-spoke steering gets a flat-bottom design with gloss black accents, and the steering now also houses extra buttons for some of the ADAS features.
Overall, the Glanza scores well on ergonomics, space and practicality, all of which remain among its key strengths, which also include spacious rear seats. You get a front and rear centre armrest with storage and cup holders, a height-adjustable driver’s seat, all adjustable headrests, and the space is very generous for four people but can be a little tight for 3 people sitting on the rear seat. The window area for the backseat passengers continues to remain a controversial topic. While the dual-tone cabin theme does make the cabin feel airy visually, a larger window area could help more light enter the cabin.

In terms of features, the Glanza shares most of its tech and features from the Maruti Baleno, and both hatchbacks have always had a long list of features that puts them ahead of rivals. The 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system on the Glanza has been updated with the facelift, and it comes with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. New features include a 6-speaker Clarion sound system, ventilated front seats, the controls for which are present next to the USB charging port, and a wireless phone charger with a cooling function; this ensures that your phone does not heat up too much.

Other feature highlights include a heads-up display, automatic headlights, rain-sensing wipers, cruise control, automatic climate control, rear AC vents, keyless entry, engine push-button start, connected car technology, USB Type-A and C fast charging, and a front footwell lamp.

Speaking of safety, the Glanza facelift now offers a Level-2 ADAS and a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS). Other safety equipment includes a 360-degree camera with front and rear sensors, 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, brake assist, electronic stability program (ESP), hill hold control, auto-dimming IRVM, 3-point seatbelt for all seats, and ISOFIX child seat mounts.

2026 Toyota Glanza Facelift: Price And Rivals
The 2026 Toyota Glanza is priced from Rs 6.99 lakh (ex-showroom) onwards, with the top-spec variant costing Rs 10.49 lakh (ex-showroom).
The Toyota Glanza goes against other premium sub-4-metre hatchbacks, including direct rivals like the Maruti Baleno, Hyundai i20, and the Tata Altroz. It also competes with similarly priced hatchbacks like the Maruti Fronx, Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor, Tata Punch, Maruti Swift, and the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios.
ZigSays…
The Toyota Glanza has always been a complete value-for-money deal, and with the new facelift, it just got better. Features like a Level-2 ADAS and ventilated front seats sound appealing, while the new exterior styling is sure to appeal to the youth. And, not to forget, the introduction of a new engine and the added convenience of an automatic in the CNG powertrain are the cherry on top. Even as SUVs continue to dominate the Indian car market, hatchbacks remain a practical and popular choice for a significant number of buyers.
