Getting a compact car with a whole radar-camera Level 2 ADAS in India under Rs 16 lakh used to feel like wishful thinking. In 2025, that's become reality. And not just in one or two models, but across sedans, subcompact SUVs, and even EVs. What follows is a closer look at each contender, including the ADAS features it offers, the variants it comes with, and what makes its system stand out.
The 2025 Venue exceeds its price point for driver-assist systems. Hyundai has updated the vehicle to include radar- and camera-based Level 2 ADAS, which means the car can actually aid in steering, braking, and throttle control when the situation calls for it, not just warning you. Highlights include FCA (Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist) for vehicles, pedestrians, and cyclists; Lane Keeping Assist and Lane Following Assist; Smart Cruise Control with Stop & Go; Blind-Spot Collision Warning; and a stronger body structure composed of 71 per cent high-strength steel, plus six standard airbags.

The ADAS hardware is available only on the higher trim (HX 10 AT & DCT) in the lineup. Since the Venue starts at Rs 7.90 lakh ex-showroom, the ADAS-equipped variants still keep you well below Rs 16 lakh.

While some buyers might overlook the Honda Amaze, it deserves attention since the facelift model introduces the Honda Sensing Level 2 technology in the subcompact sedan segment for the first time. Of course, there is Collision Mitigation Braking, Lane Keep Assist, and Adaptive Cruise Control, and all-around occupant protection.

Considering prices for Amaze start from around Rs 7.41 lakh, it becomes the most affordable way to get full Level 2 ADAS in India under Rs 10 lakh.
Mahindra's XUV 3XO earns its place for its Level 2 ADAS suite on the "L" trims: adaptive cruise control with lane-centring called Smart Pilot Assist, Forward Collision Warning, Autonomous Emergency Braking, Lane Departure Warning, and more.

Additionally, these variants also bring in features like 360° surround view, blind-spot monitoring, and a panoramic sunroof, which are uncommon in this price bracket. Pricing keeps a few of the ADAS trims at under Rs 14.40 lakh ex-showroom, which makes them very good value.

The MG Astor isn't the cheapest car on this list, but it's easily one of the most premium in feel. MG offers Level 2 ADAS as part of its MG Pilot system. Features include Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keep Assist, and Lane Departure Warning, as well as Intelligent Headlamp Control and Autonomous Emergency Braking, which detects vehicles, pedestrians, and cyclists.

There is one catch: ADAS is only available on the higher variant, the Savvy Pro.

EVs are mostly listed at a premium price; however, the MG Windsor EV with Battery-as-a-Service pricing brings Level 2 ADAS well within the sub-Rs 16 lakh bracket. The system comprises lane-keeping, forward collision avoidance, and adaptive cruise control with extra safety features.

If you're an urban driver who values EV benefits and driver assistance technology, this is one of the few options that combines both in this budget. Additionally, the Windsor EV also comes with a larger battery pack offering more range to choose from. The trade-off: you'll likely opt for a subscription-based battery service rather than owning it outright.

Rs 15.15 lakh |
As things stand, the MG ZS EV is usually priced between Rs 18 and Rs 20.50 lakh, which means it wouldn't qualify in this list. But Battery-as-a-Service, where you pay for the car and the battery separately on a monthly plan, actually brings the entry cost of ownership low enough to get the ZS EV into the sub-Rs 16 lakh bracket.

What you get for that price reduction isn't some bare-bones EV. The ZS EV still gets the full Level 2 ADAS suite, including Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keep Assist, Traffic Jam Assist, and Autonomous Emergency Braking.

What makes Kia's Syros stand out is that it boasts Level 2 ADAS, equipped with 16 autonomous safety features such as Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Follow/Keep Assist, Forward Collision Avoidance, Blind View Monitor, and a 360-degree camera.

However, the system is only provided on higher trims (HTX+ (O) etc.), and the model's price starts at Rs 15.29 lakh onwards, providing access to the Level 2 suite in the premium territory.

There was a time when Level 2 ADAS meant you had to spend way more than Rs 20 lakh. Today, it's realistic to access radar-camera steering and braking assist in vehicles under Rs 16 lakh. The difference between this lot isn't just that they have ADAS; it's how well they implement it and at what cost.
If you want broad access, solid value, and multiple powertrain options, the 2025 Hyundai Venue leads the conversation. If price alone is your priority, the Honda Amaze is unmatched. If features are what you prioritise, like a panoramic sunroof and Level 2+ surround-view, go for the XUV 3XO. Want pure EV + ADAS? Go for the Windsor EV and ZS EV (BaaS).
