Pulsar 250 launch date zig

Bajaj is all set to launch the new quarter-litre Pulsars on October 28 in India. The motorcycles have been spotted several times. The semi-faired one is likely to be called the Bajaj Pulsar 250F and naked version the Bajaj Pulsar 250.

The Bajaj Pulsar 250 is powered by an all-new 250cc air-cooled, fuel-injected engine with an oil cooler. It’s expected to make a little more power and torque than the 20.4PS/ 18.55Nm heart in the Pulsar 220F. The motorcycle is built on a new chassis with a telescopic front fork and a rear monoshock. The wheels and disc brakes at both ends seem to have been borrowed from the Bajaj Pulsar NS200 / RS200.

The Pulsar 250F’s fairing is a lot sharper than the 220F, and it comes with an LED projector headlamp. Even the naked iteration gets new tank extensions and an LED projector headlamp. The raised clip-on handlebars should offer a comfortable riding stance. The bike features a semi-digital instrument cluster, and you can read more about the motorcycle in our exclusive report here.

Now, to the pricing. Bajaj might just make the Pulsar 250F slightly more affordable than the Pulsar 220F. Wondering why? Well, find out the reason in our analysis. The Pulsar 250 will be less expensive than the faired variant, thanks to its naked design. The motorcycles will go up against the Suzuki Gixxer 250, Suzuki Gixxer SF250, Yamaha FZ25, and the Yamaha FZS 25. Going forward, the manufacturer will update the rest of the standard Pulsar’s lineup with the new-generation versions.
