The Hyundai Creta Electric and Tata Harrier EV are two very different takes on electric mobility. For similar pricing, the Creta EV brings a feature-loaded package in a compact footprint, while the entry-level Harrier EV offers the presence and space of a larger midsize SUV. Although both belong to different segments, some of their variants fall in a similar price range. To find out which one offers better overall value, we compare the top-spec Creta Electric with the base Harrier EV in this report.

In comparison, the top-spec Hyundai Creta Electric is priced at Rs 20.88 lakh (ex-showroom), if you choose the smaller 42 kWh battery. When it comes to features, the Hyundai Creta Electric holds a slight edge over the Harrier EV. It offers a panoramic sunroof, an 8-speaker sound system, wireless phone charging, and connected car tech, tech the Harrier EV misses out on in base variant. Safety-wise both electric SUVs are equally equipped, it's the Creta Electric however that offers ADAS.

The base variant of the Harrier EV comes with the 65 kWh battery pack. In this configuration, the Harrier EV is coupled with a rear-wheel drive setup producing 238 PS.

On the other hand, the Creta Electric Premium is available with the 42 kWh battery pack that is coupled to a 135 PS electric motor. While the top-spec variants are also available with a larger 51.4 kWh battery pack that is coupled with the 171 PS motor.
Coming to the range, the claimed range of Harrier EV’s base variant has not been revealed yet. Creta Electric offers a claimed range of 390 km with the 42 kWh battery and 473 km with the 51.4 kWh battery. One can expect the Harrier EV to offer more range even with its entry-level variant.

Both the Hyundai Creta Electric and Tata Harrier EV bring strong value in their own ways. If you’re looking for a compact, well-equipped electric SUV with modern features at a relatively accessible price, the top-spec Creta Electric fits the bill. However, if your priority is a larger, more powerful EV with longer range and added presence, the base Harrier EV makes a strong case.

That said, it would probably miss out on some creature comforts offered with the Creta Premium variant. Which one would you choose amongst the two electric SUVs? Do let us know in the comments below.
