The Tata Harrier EV has been launched with an extensive list of features that will make you want to spend extra time in the car, and some of its top features are also segment-firsts. But, there is no limit when it comes to features, and after going through what the rivals offer, we have curated a list of 5 features that would have made the Harrier EV a benchmark in the features department.

Here’s a look at the five features:
A feature that appeals to those who prefer taking the driver seat! Heads-up display is a feature that projects vital details onto the windshield. Moreover, it's a cool addition, and enhances driving experience. The Harrier EV’s closest rival, the Mahindra XEV 9e offers an augmented reality heads-up display, and it would have been great if Tata would have offered this feature with the Harrier EV.
The Mahindra XEV 9e comes with a triple-screen layout featuring the digital driver display, infotainment system and an entertainment screen for the passenger. The Harrier EV only comes with two screens. Trust us, you don’t really need a third screen, but it definitely would have been a good addition to the electric Harrier. Talking about screens, the Harrier EV’s new 14.5-inch touchscreen infotainment system with the Samsung QLED display is clearly the benchmark in the segment.
The Harrier EV with its power-packed motors sounds tempting to drive, but it is also an SUV which you would want to enjoy from the backseat and that’s mainly due to the spacious rear seat. While the Harrier EV gets ventilated front seats, it misses out on ventilated rear seats. It's not really a miss, but it would have added an extra layer of comfort for rear passengers.
The Harrier EV gets a wireless phone charger for the front seats, and multiple charging ports overall. But, it does not offer rear wireless phone charging, a feature that is offered with cars in the Harrier EV’s price range. The wireless charging feature at the rear would have made charging more convenient and eliminate the dependency on wires.
A premium addition which further takes your rear seat experience to the next level, a rear entertainment screen would have been a great addition to the Harrier EV. It would have also given the passengers something to spend time with during long drives or while charging the car.
Please note that you can get this feature as an accessory, but it would have been better if Tata would have offered it as standard fitment.
The Harrier EV retails from Rs 21.49 lakh (ex-showroom), and its full prices are yet to be revealed. It locks horns with the Mahindra XEV 9e and the BYD Atto 3.
Greed aside, Tata has done a fantastic job with the number of features they are offering with the Harrier EV. The list also includes some segment-first features which truly make the Harrier EV a desirable SUV. The absence of the abovementioned features is definitely not a dealbreaker, but they would have surely made the overall deal feel sweeter.
Out of the 5 features, which feature do you think should have been there? Let us know in the comments section.
