The Royal Enfield Meteor 350 has been launched in Europe and will be available from the first quarter of the calendar year 2021. Like the Indian market, Royal Enfield offers the 350cc cruiser in three variants: Fireball, Stellar and Supernova. Here are the prices in comparison with the corresponding India-spec versions:
Royal Enfield Meteor 350 Variants |
OTR UK price |
Ex-showroom Delhi price |
Fireball |
GBP 3,749 (around Rs 3.67 lakh) |
Rs 1,75,817 |
Stellar |
GBP 3,829 (around Rs 3.75 lakh) |
Rs 1,81,327 |
Supernova |
GBP 3,909 (around Rs 3.82 lakh) |
Rs 1,90,510 |
The motorcycle is so expensive in the UK because it is made here and exported overseas. Interestingly, the Royal Enfield Meteor 350 is more affordable than the Royal Enfield Classic 500, which starts from a whopping GBP 4,699, approximately Rs 4.60 lakh. Sure, the Classic 500 may have oodles of torque but the Meteor 350 scores better in almost every aspect other than the outright output figures. It is also a lot more refined than the Classic 500 thanks to the all-new 349cc air-cooled counterbalanced engine. And yes, the Meteor 350 can also comfortably cruise at 100kmph, with the vibrations in check. As expected, the Meteor 350 is A2 licence compliant, which should make it apt for rookie riders.

Other specifications of the motorcycle are similar to the one sold here. It also gets Tripper Navigation, which should be a boon for both urban commutes and long-distance touring. You can read all about the bike here. If you’re interested in the motorcycle’s accessories, check this out.
We believe by the time the Meteor hits European showrooms, the brand would’ve launched the updated 2021 Royal Enfield Classic 350 in India. This Euro 5/BS6-compliant motorcycle could then go on sale in the UK, replacing the ageing Classic 500, which is unlikely to get the Euro 5 update. Moreover, Royal Enfield has also discontinued the motorcycle in its home market as it did not make the BS6 cut.
