The RC 125 and the 390 Adventure have received quite the hike

The new financial year has inevitably brought with it a fresh set of price revisions. We have already revealed the latest asking prices for the mental KTM Dukes and now it is the time for the RCs and the Adventures. Here’s a detailed table of the updated ex-showroom prices:

Model

New Price

Old Price

Price Difference

RC Series

RC 125

Rs 1,70,214

Rs 1,62,566

Rs 7,648

RC 200

Rs 2,06,112

Rs 2,04,096

Rs 2,016

RC 390

Rs 2,65,897

Rs 2,60,723

Rs 5,174

Adventure Series

250 Adventure

Rs 2,51,923

Rs 2,560

390 Adventure

Rs 3,16,601

Rs 3,10,365

Rs 6,236

What is surprising is that for the price of the RC 125, you can now get bikes like the Jawa 42, Royal Enfield Classic 350 and the Suzuki Gixxer SF 250. Its primary competitor, the Yamaha R15 v3, is now Rs 16,000 cheaper and the Yammie is a more powerful and much more versatile supersport.

From being one of the most hotly-anticipated motorcycles to one of the most dearest ones in the segment, the KTM 390 Adventure’s new price tag isn’t favouring its cause much. At Rs 3.16 lakh, it is now Rs 17,000 costlier than its launch price in 2020. What’s more detrimental is that the BMW G 310 GS, which we believe is a way better all-rounder and our pick in the segment, costs Rs 26,000 less than its Austrian counterpart. Sure, the Bavarian ADV tourer is neither as quick nor as feature-loaded as the 390 ADV but it is more capable off-road and has well sorted suspension and ergonomics.

The RC 200 has seen a small price bump and that must be due to imminent arrival of the next-gen supersport. The new-design RC 200 has been spotted on test multiple times and is expected to launch in the coming months.
