Bengaluru-based electric two-wheel manufacturer, Ampere Vehicles, has launched another low-speed product called the Reo Elite. Priced at Rs 45,099 (ex-showroom Bengaluru), the Reo Elite is a funky youthful take on its other low-speed electric scooter, the Reo. Bookings for the Reo Elite have begun on Ampere’s website as well as at the company’s dealerships in Bengaluru. The booking amount for the scooter is set at a nominal Rs 1,999.

The top speed of the scooter is 25kmph, which is the norm for low-speed scooters. It is powered by lead acetate batteries but we expect a lithium-ion option to be offered soon. Its city-wide range of 55km and highway range of 60km is decent for an urban scooter. It is light too, tipping the scales at 86kg.
