The last year saw the launch of the Hero Duet and Maestro Edge, the Vespa siblings, and the Yamaha Fascino in the country in the scooter segment. All these scooters brought something new to the table and had one unique thing or the other to offer to the Indian customer. It was quite a task picking one of these machines for the crown, but in the end, it was the Yamaha Fascino that clinched the crown of the Scooter of the Year owing to its impressive all-round performance.
The Fascino is the most premium scooter from the Japanese motorcycle company in India. The new 113cc scooter from Yamaha India is a slightly more stylish model with unique design and top class quality. It is an all-round attractive package for scooter buyers with more disposable income. The 4 stroke, single-cylinder Blue Core engine, as seen on the other Yamaha India scooters, develops a reasonable 7.1PS of maximum power and 8.1Nm of peak torque. The Yamaha Fascino is priced quite attractively at around Rs 53,100 (ex-showroom Delhi) – making it an affordable, efficient and dependable proposition.
Huge congratulations to Yamaha Motor India for winning the 2015 Times Auto Awards powered by ZigWheels in the Scooter of the Year category.
