Benelli TNT 300: Benelli launched the TNT 300 which was a new offering to the Indian market in the entry level performance bikes segment. The TNT 300 is powered by a 300cc parallel twin-cylinder engine which produces max power of 37PS of power and is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The Italian street bike is a looker and at the same time feels like a premium bike too. The TNT 300 comes with a sticker price of Rs 2.83 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
Yamaha YZF-R3: The most powerful bike amongst the lot, the YZF-R3 is a fully-faired bike by Yamaha. The Yamaha R3 is powered by a 321cc twin-pot engine which generates peak power of 42PS at 10,750rpm and peak torque of 29.6Nm at 9,000rpm. Power is transmitted to the rear wheel via a 6-speed gearbox. The engine of the Yamaha YZF-R3 offers good performance, both towards higher revs as well as very good and usable mid-range torque. The Yamaha R3 comes with a price tag of Rs 3.25 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) which definitely is a high price to pay for the performance and feel it delivers.
Mahindra Mojo: Mahindra has introduced the Mojo after taking their own time to develop the motorcycle. The engine of the Mojo has been entirely built in-house by Mahindra and has a displacement of 295cc which is capable of producing 27.2PS of power with 30Nm of torque. The Mojo follows the lines of a touring bike and is equipped with host of features like a 21-litre fuel tank, upside down forks, Pirelli tyres, and dual exhausts all packed together to provide a relaxed riding stance. The Mahindra Mojo is priced at the lowest amongst the nominees at Rs 1.63 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
