Almost all of Yamaha’s BS6 range of two-wheelers have received a price hike

  • All BS6 models except the Fascino 125 have received price hike.
  • The biggest increase in price has been reserved for the R15 V3.
  • Hero MotoCorp and Honda too have hiked prices of their BS6 models. 
  • Yamaha BS6 Price Hike
    Yamaha has hiked prices of its almost all of its BS6 models including the  R15 V3, MT-15, FZ-Fi and FZS-Fi. This price hike does not apply to the Fascino 125 BS6 though. The price hike is nominal and ranges from Rs 500 to Rs 1,000. Here’s the list of the new prices.

    The FZ FI BS6 and MT-15 BS6 range receive the lowest price hike while the R15 gets the biggest increment. The R15 V3 comes in three different colours which interestingly receive different price hikes. The R15 Racing Blue option gets the biggest price hike not just in the R15 range but also amongst Yamaha’s BS6 portfolio.

    The price hike is nominal but is a trend seen amongst manufacturers who’ve had to bear the costs of upgrading their lineup to meet BS6 norms and are have seen a loss in revenue due to the current COVID-19 lockdown. Manufacturers such as Hero MotoCorp and Honda too recently increased prices of their BS6 models.

    Yamaha BS6 Price Hike

    Yamaha has updated almost all of its models to meet BS6 norms. The FZ25 is the only remaining model that is set to receive the updates. Expect the cleaner and greener version of the 250cc naked to launch soon. It gets new bodywork and features and a new ‘S’ variant this time around. Know more about the FZ 25 BS6 here.
