We’re barely into 2022, and Triumph has already hiked the prices of the Trident 660 by Rs 50,000. The bike now starts from Rs 7.45 lakh going up to Rs 7.58 lakh (ex-showroom India), depending on the colourway.
However, despite this hike, the Trident 660 is still the most affordable offering from Triumph. And given the equipment it packs, you cannot dismiss it yet, the price surge notwithstanding.

The Trident 660 is powered by a 660cc inline-three (with a 6-speed gearbox and an assist and slipper clutch), making 81PS and 64Nm. It packs two ride modes, switchable traction control, all-LED illumination, and a TFT instrument cluster.
And since this segment caters to the relatively less experienced riders, the Trident 660 has a low 805mm seat height and tips the scales at 189kg (kerb).

The bike is Triumph’s contender in the entry-level naked category, which includes the likes of Kawasaki Z650 and the Honda CB650R.
We were pretty impressed with the Trident 660 when we took it for a spin. In fact, we even pitted it against the popular Kawasaki Z650. Here’s how the two fared.
