The Zeeho AE8 E-Scooter Comes Packed With A Tonne Of Cool Features

CFMoto’s sub-brand Zeeho has launched its performance-focused electric scooter, the AE8, in China in two variants: standard AE8 and higher-spec AE8 S+.

In terms of styling, the AE8, unveiled last year, gets an aggressive body design with a muscular front end accompanied by a large fender that covers more than a quarter of the wheel. The side panels of the scooter get ‘winglets’ that also work as rear turn indicators, and there’s a large footboard that offers ample legroom for the rider.

The AE8 gets a swappable dual-lithium battery paired with a mid-mounted, liquid-cooled motor. Zeeho claims a range of 120km in ideal conditions and an even bigger 190km if ridden conservatively. The standard charging time of the EV is about six hours, and it also gets fast charging.

In terms of performance, the Zeeho AE8 produces 12.5kW and 218Nm, with a top speed of 100kmph and a 0-50kmph time of just 2.6 seconds.

In addition to the Brembo calipers up front in the standard variant, the AE8 S+ also features dual-channel ABS.
The AE8 gets a preload-adjustable suspension at the rear, whereas the higher spec variant gets damping preload adjustability at the rear.

In terms of features, the standard variant gets a 5-inch LCD curved screen whereas the higher-spec AE8 S+ gets a 5-inch TFT full-colour LCD cluster. Both the variants come with three riding modes: Sports, Eco and Street.

Other features include adaptive headlight, disturbance alarm, anti-theft alarm, riding assist with reminders, smartphone integration with keyless unlocking, alerts and OTA upgrades.

The AE8 is priced at 17,999 yuan (around Rs 2.11 lakh), and the AE8 S+ variant is priced at 21,699 yuan (around Rs 2.55 lakh) in China. The scooter might be coming to India later this year or next, under the CFMoto badge.
