Toyota India has announced a recall for its flagship luxury SUV, the Land Cruiser LC300. The Japanese marque has recalled 269 units of the luxury SUV manufactured between February 12, 2021, and February 01, 2023. Here are all the details you need to know:

The reason behind this recall for its flagship luxury SUV is to reprogram the 10-speed automatic transmission’s ECU software. On the plus side, Toyota says there have been no affected cases for the related part, and owners can continue using the luxury SUV until the software has been done.

Toyota India will be contacting customers to bring the vehicle in for the necessary updates, which will be done at no extra cost. Owners can check if their vehicle has been affected by calling their nearest dealer or contacting Toyota’s customer assistance centre at 1800-309 0001 or by entering their Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) at the ‘Safety Recall’ section of Toyota India’s website.

The Land Cruiser LC300 is the pole sitter in Toyota’s India lineup and is priced at Rs 2.1 crore (ex-showroom). It has butch looks that turn heads, a luxurious interior and comes loaded to the brim with features. For more details about the Toyota Land Cruiser LC300, head to our in-depth launch story.
